Celebrating Community and Creativity: Hoarding Installation at The Georgian

By Stafford
We’re excited to unveil the newly installed construction hoarding at The Georgian, our upcoming residential condo community in the heart of Cabbagetown.
In collaboration with Toronto-based artist Bareket Kezwer, the mural titled Heart Harvest brings a vibrant and meaningful presence to Gerrard Street. The artwork reflects both the agricultural roots of Cabbagetown and its richly diverse community, celebrating themes of growth, connection, and collective care.
About the Artwork: Heart Harvest
The mural features a rainbow of cabbages composed of heart-shaped pixels. Each cabbage — rendered in a range of colours, shapes, and scales — symbolizes the beauty of living in right relationship with nature and with one another. Together, they form a playful, loving tribute to the ever-evolving story of the Cabbagetown community.
Up close, passersby will notice the intricate detail of countless heart pixels, each one contributing to the larger image. From a distance, the mural takes on new meaning, allowing pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers to appreciate its full collective impact.

Enriching the Community Experience
At Stafford, we believe in the power of art to create meaningful connections and enhance the neighbourhoods where we build. The Georgian’s hoarding not only serves as a visual landmark but also as a celebration of Cabbagetown’s heritage, diversity, and vibrant spirit.
We’re proud to partner with Bareket Kezwer on this project and look forward to seeing the mural enrich the daily experience of those who live in, work in, and visit Cabbagetown.
